Episode 4 – The “object trouvé”, with Eva Macali
In the fourth episode we discuss the vocation of assemblage and “object trouvé” with artist Eva Macali. The work Irradia mingles the visual study of the golden ratio with the use of sound for a radio installation in which the artist lists in different languages the numbers of the Fibonacci sequence. Macali uses her own voice again in Underwater Godzilla, where the words of a poem become unintelligible when recited under the waters of the Baltic Sea. The “object trouvé” can also be found in other people: projects of participatory collection of sound material, such as that of Rava Vavara, demonstrate this.

Luca Pancrazzi talks about acoustic research, multimedia works and soundscape, i.e. the acoustic environment perceived by humans in a certain context. In addition to listenings and technical questions, we address the 2003 work Temples, a work that brings the sounds of the street inside a museum, and the 2017 performance OneCarBand, where the artist makes a car resonate, literally.
