SONRO Suono Ogni Notte nel Rovescio dei miei Occhi

is a collective formed by artists, curators and art historians that explores the practices related to sound in the visual arts through exhibitions, critical texts, interviews and meetings.

Sara d’Alessandro Manozzo

is an independent curator, author, and PhD student at the Accademia Albertina in Turin. Among her curated projects and exhibitions: Waiting Room Residency (2020-2022, with Giusi Campisi), at Jonas, Trento; Sinfonia by Alessandro Sciaraffa, winner of the 9th Italian Council promoted by the Italian Ministry of Culture (2021-2022), at GAM, Turin, and TSE Art Destination, Nur Sultan, Kazakhstan; Blaze 10 (2010), CCAS, Canberra, Australia. She has been collaborating with Mondadori Education since 2023.

She has been part of SONRO since 2022.

 

Ilaria Peretti

is an independent curator, and an editor and head of the Asia series at add editore. She conceived and hosted the podcast Monsonj for the magazine Lucysuimondi. She has worked for institutions such as the Peggy Guggenheim Collection and the Collection François Pinault in Venice, and lived in France, where she worked with organizations including Printemps de l’Art Contemporain (Marseille).

She has been part of SONRO since 2022.

 

Marzio Zorio

Marzio Zorio’s research focuses on the creation of large-scale installations in which the sonic component is of fundamental importance, with particular attention to the spatial properties of sound and its relationship with the environment, architecture, and human beings.

In 2020 he won the #raccontoplurale award organized by the Fondazione CRT of Turin. In the musical field, he has collaborated with Nicolas Jaar, creating musical instruments used for Jaar’s concerts and for the production of the album Telas (2020), and later composing a track for the album Caves – A Compilation of Silence, released by Jaar’s record label Other People.

He has created performances together with choreographer Francesca Cola and is part of the duo BRUMA alongside artist and musician Bruna. Among his most recent solo and group exhibitions are: Materia Sonora, Istituto Italiano di Cultura Madrid (2024); Listening Post, Fondazione Bevilacqua La Masa, Venice (2023); Experimentum crucis, Ex-Caserma Cassonello, Noto (2022); Princìpi – Costruire per le generazioni, Biennale Tecnologia, Politecnico di Torino, Turin (2022); SUPERLAB, Bicocca Superlab, Milan (2022); Condizione d’insieme – Majority Report, Galleria 10 & zero uno, Venice (2022); Biblioteca, Palazzo delle Esposizioni, Sala Santa Rita, Rome (2020); Artissima Sound, OGR, Turin (2018); Il terzo giorno, Palazzo del Governatore, Parma (2018); Se telefonando, Casa del Mantegna, Mantua (2017).

He is one of the founders of SONRO.
